About

Athanasios Ouzounis was introduced to photography in 1995 at the Photographic Association of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . Soon after he started teaching the basics of photography to university students at the aforementioned association. In 2002 Athanasios Ouzounis was accepted as an undergraduate student at the Technical Faculty of Photography based in Athens. Studies were soon dropped due to long working hours as a photojournalist and as a free lancer. This resulted in his disenrolled from the faculty. Professional activities started in 1999 as a social event photographer which gradually led him into professional photojournalism in 2004.

Since 2007 professional activities have been set on ice. His passion for photography has been channeled into teaching photography to junior high school students in public high schools (2007-2015 and 2017-2021) and adult students in public adult schools (2015-2017) as part of educational projects along his full time job as a science teacher in Greece.
